Lyndsie Anne posted a link to a very interesting, and touching, blog about a mother who is dealing with a young, male, child who is interested in a lot of things traditionally considered girlish.

I read through a lot of the blog and came away with some thoughts...

1. Q (the child's name in the blog) is very fortunate in his parents. It's too early to say if Q is transgendered, gay, or justs like crashing the gender line, but doing any of those is very hard if you don't have supportive parents. Clearly he does and, I suspect, that's partly because they too faced similar issues as children.

2. Blogs like this one are incredible sources for other parents that face similar issues. I suppose issues is a strong term, but as Q's mom points out, there's a lot of fear to be faced as a parent when your child is crossing boundaries.

3. Q is as cute as a button! I think I may be jealous. ;o)

Anyways, the blog is a very interesting, and comforting, read. Gets an A+ from me!

thanks!

Just came here via a track back from my blog. Thanks for finding me and for your thoughtful word about the blog, Q, and the parenting journey. I'm glad you think it would be helpful to others on a similar path -- that is definitely my intention!

Feel free to keep sharing!

Thanks and be well.
